A Workshop with Angela Mazur and Theresa Nygren
IDEAL FOR: All levels including beginners.
Step away from the busyness of your life and join us for a half-day retreat as we discover the transformative nature of mindfulness combined with self-compassion. Research shows that 70 percent of the population is kinder to others than they are to themselves. This habitual way of being in the world can lead to anxiety, dissatisfaction with life and even depression. Mindful self-compassion is a transformative practice that helps us treat ourselves with the same care and support that we extend to others, with deep emotional benefits.
Based on the work of Chris Gerner, PhD. and Kristin Neff, PhD, this experiential workshop will provide:
- A foundational overview of mindful self-compassion and how to be less critical of yourself
- Ample opportunity to participate in formal and informal mindful self-compassion practices
- Reflection, both written and verbal, within small groups and in larger circle
Tuition is $65.
