Where is your mind right now? Without judging the findings, chances are you may have been thinking about something in the future or trying to resolve something from the past. 

We are hard-wired to scan for problems and threats. Research shows that we spend about 50% of our waking hours in this state of mind called the default mode network. 

There is another way though and that is with mindfulness; being present to more moments of your day without judgmentas you live them. Is this a day that you can tip the scales and be present more than 50% of the time to what is happening, as it is happening?? You may be surprised with how wonderful it feels to live more of your moments fully.

Our current MSC group gathered yesterday for group session # 3. The topic of loving -kindness was the focus of our time together. What a powerful group it was!  According to the Dalai Lama, loving-kindness is “ the wish that all sentient beings may be happy.” How different this intention is from how most of us push and force ourselves to grab at happiness wherever we go. As we all know, this is a useless pursuit, the more we grab, the less we get. Can you imagine how different your life could be if you gently offered an intention for happiness, for peace, for goodwill? Can you soften the grasp you have on life and on the imagined way life should be? See if your heart can open today to the possibility of receiving more goodness than you could ever envision.

May I be happy.

May I be peaceful

May I be healthy

May I live with ease
