Mindful Self-Compassion practice in action!
Recently I had the pleasure of traveling to Italy for over a two week stretch of time. We covered a wide area, beginning in Rome and making our way to Venice. During this adventure, I noticed how useful my MSC practice was for me. Although it was a vacation, it was strewn with many moments of stress and uncertainty. Each new place we arrived at, we had to orient ourselves to where we were going and figure out how to get there. Throughout it all, I kept steady with my MSC practice. Sometimes I would be silently repeating my loving kindness phrases. At other times, I would pause for my Self Compassion Break. Having this practice at the ready helped calm me down and keep a better perspective on what needed attention moment to moment.
